Proud to be an Indian



In the north, I glance at mountains and hills,

Covered thick with snow and sanative trees

Where the fresh Ganges starts paving its way,

And the clean water for the Indians is what she lays

 

In the south, there are long and tall palm and coconut trees,

A place of vibrant culture and where every human stays glee,

A South-Indian plate with multifarious foods,

A mixture of many languages which people say and told

 

In the East, the Sikhs and Bengalis cover the place with light,

        They worship the Gurudwara and the Durga temple and feel blithe,

        The colors of Baisakhi and Durga festival,

Which people enjoy, grow flowers and follow their rituals

 

I move to the west of this glowing gem,

And watch the spectacular tastes there,

Grasp at our independent and patriotic charm’s statue (Sardar Vallabhai Patel),

In the 7 wonders of the world which is very rare

 

We as Indians are lusty and firm for our country,

Proudly raise our flag with victory

 

 

The flag on it has three powerful stripes- orange, white and green,

Which represent that we Indians are sturdy and have their hearts clean

 

A soldier who goes to fight for his country’s life,

Leaving back his family and wife

 

Steps and fights on the borderline,

With the body in the blood and to show a patriotic sign

 

It is Patriotism- the feeling of being valiant for our country,

The place we are,

The expressions of helping and feeling for our wonderful India,

For whom we can give our body, heart, and soul to keep her safe till the future
